This year, we invited New Taipei City, Changhua County, Chiayi County, and Tainan City to participate in the "Health Promoting School and Hygiene Unit Training for Core Staff", and in August, our project team went to the four counties to conduct the first workshop, using design thinking to allow participants to address the health promoting issues they face in their own counties, and to develop a prototype project that combines school parents and community resources from across different offices. The project prototypes were developed by the participants.
In order to learn from each other, we invited four counties to Fu Jen Catholic University on November 1 for the second workshop, where the four counties shared their results in turn.We also invited Prof. Didier Jourdan, who is an international expert, and domestic experts in the field of health promotion to give advice on the implementation of health promoting schools.
Through the results of the workshop, it is clear that the county and city education and health departments have a strong potential and willingness to work together, as well as a common goal to solve a health problem in their own county. The application of design thinking does not finish here either. We will continue to think about how to implement health promoting programs in the future, and how to involve school staff, the surrounding community and parents in health promoting. Although this year's series of trainings have come to an end, it is believed that for the participants in the county and city, it is the beginning of a continuous cooperation. 🎉
